Terms & Conditions

Last updated: July 24, 2026

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of Bow & Arrow Music's website, ministry development platform, and public guide store (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you're using the Service on behalf of a church or organization, you're confirming you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

1. The Service

Bow & Arrow provides a ministry development platform for churches — people and team management, volunteer "journeys," evaluations, learning, scheduling, and songwriting tools — as well as a public store selling downloadable PDF guides that anyone can purchase without a church account.

2. Accounts

You need an account to use most of the Service. A church account is created by a church's first administrator, who can then invite additional staff and volunteers. A personal account is available free of charge to individual musicians and songwriters not yet part of a church on the platform, and can later be linked to a church via an invite without losing anything already built. You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account.

3. Subscriptions & Billing

Church accounts include a 14-day free trial with no payment method required. After the trial, a church administrator can add a payment method from the Billing page to continue; until then, the account remains accessible but read-only rather than losing data. Subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe and can be cancelled at any time from the Billing page, with access continuing until the end of the paid period. Personal accounts are free and do not require a subscription.

4. Guide Purchases

PDF guides sold through our public store are one-time purchases delivered instantly as a digital download and by email. Because these are digital goods delivered immediately upon payment, purchases are generally non-refundable except where required by law or at our discretion (for example, a technical failure that prevents delivery). If you have trouble accessing a guide you've purchased, contact us and we'll make it right.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service, other accounts, or our systems.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
  • Upload content you don’t have the right to upload, or that infringes another’s rights.
  • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute purchased guides beyond personal or your organization’s internal use.

6. Your Content & Data

You and your church retain ownership of the content and data you put into the Service — including people and team records, evaluation notes, and songs. For songwriting specifically, the platform's ownership-split tools let you record who owns what share of a song; we don't claim any ownership over that content and only store it on your behalf. You grant us a limited license to host, process, and display your content solely to provide the Service to you.

7. Our Intellectual Property

The Service itself — its design, code, guides we author and sell, and the Bow & Arrow name and marks — is owned by Bow & Arrow Music. These Terms don't grant you any right to use our branding except as needed to use the Service normally.

8. Termination

You can stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to the Service if these Terms are violated, or if we discontinue the Service, in which case we'll provide reasonable notice where practical.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular results (such as a specific evaluation or scheduling outcome) will be achieved by using it.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bow & Arrow Music will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Bow & Arrow Music is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. (Placeholder — to be finalized with your specific jurisdiction once confirmed.)

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify account administrators directly. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
